the old man that used to take care of him: dead

all hope that was once there is pretty much lost. 

yet this motherfucker right here decides that he’ll set out to find any other survivors with a stick and a god damn flashlight. 

he finds a silver-haired girl, a computer sensitive to human emotion, a mischievous boy that was an actually a robot, a juvenile ghost who misses her mother and a bodiless young woman whom acquainted herself with him.

he befriended all of them, and they in turn formed unbreakable bonds with the boy, encouraging that he continue looking.

suddenly…

they left him. not because they had reason to, no.

but because they died.

one, by one. hope diminishing with each death. 

until finally,

his adventure ended just like how it started.

i have never in my life felt this sorry for a video game character, like ever
