The feeling I get from playing Professor Layton games… It’s ethereal. 

I sometimes wish I could be in his shoes — just the idea of exploring such extravagant and cultivated settings brings me inexplicable glee and joy! The time and patience I put into each puzzle truly makes me feel as if I’m using more than just my physical expertise of pushing buttons to accomplish my task. 

I’ve only played the first 3 games so far, but that is enough alone for me to believe the plot production almost rivals that of an Ace Attorney game… even despite the fact that the main focus when engaging the game is the puzzles. Having this all tagged along with visually impressive animation sequences in tandem with the life-breathing voiceovers — it’s safe to say that I’m completely satisfied with that which was brought for my eyes to behold. A puzzle game that feels more like a vicarious trial and experience; Professor Layton and Luke… two characters that I, myself, feel like I am actually travelling with. This, readers, is what I enjoy the most out of playing games — it’s being there.
